An animal shelter run by Paige and Dillan. They are devoted to helping the animals out in Pallawan-El Nido.

I found this shelter while on holiday on the island as a blind cat called Mimi needed rescuing. The response was very speedy and they have done a fantastic job

We are looking to build a shelter with an onsite medical facility. Our aim is to offer a full veterinary service with the emphasis on sterilization. Sterilization will assist in controlling the number of stray dogs and cats on the streets. This will lead to a better life and future for the animals of El Nido. By reducing the number of stray dogs and cats on the roads in El Nido it will maker far safer for all the bike and tricycle drivers. Many accidents every year are due to the large number of stray dogs and cats on the roads.

Their Story:

Two people who left everything we know and love back in South Africa and took the leap of faith to do something greater than what life expects us to do.

Our Project started while we were watching YouTube videos about the beautiful island of Palawan, in every video we watched we saw stray animals on the streets and beaches begging for food. Yet no one was helping, after much research we found there to be no shelter, vet or animal control in El Nido. This is when it struck us, like a lightning bolt, we have to do something about this. We planned our trip and 6 weeks later and after 60 hours of travel we arrived and got to work.

We require funding to secure a piece of land and build the first animal shelter and hospital in El Nido Palawan. We need a total of U$ 150,000.00 to complete the project. The entire project will be run as a true non-profit entity and each and every dollar spent will be accounted for and disclosed. .

Step one is securing the land in order to commence construction of the required building. Once this begins, so does our next step, which is finding the right people to help protect and rescue the animals in need. Once we have the staff and funding in place we will secure the services of a Veterinary Surgeon in order to offer a full range of animal care services either at minimal cost or free of charge to the people and animals of El Nido.

We really would like to make this dream a reality and to assist the people and animals on the beautiful island of Palawan but can only do so with your kind assistance and support.
